Comedy Diet Challenge Week 6: Back Home….

Bojangles, Hardees, Corndogs at the amusement park,   BBQ at the Pit in Raleigh.  These are all things I ate while on the road.  I did it, I’ll own up to it.  Anyway, a week on the road is not the best thing for a person trying to lose a few LBS.  I also got very little exercise while on the trip.  So what is the final result.   We’ll get to that….. first….

Do you know what svelte means?  Slender and elegant.  It doesn’t matter how much weight I lose that will never be a word that accurately describes my physique.  However for some reason 3 different people have said “you’re looking svelte”.  I didn’t even know what that meant.  I just had to nod and smile and hope it was a compliment and then look it up later.  Not the first time this sort of thing has happened to me.  A few years ago, after I had just gotten off stage, someone said that I was very prolific.  Again, not knowing the meaning I just said thanks.  I knew it was a compliment but I had only known the word in the context of sports talk “Dan Marino was a prolific passer” they would say on NFL Films.  So I just figured it meant I was never gonna win a superbowl.

Anyway, I hopped on the scale this week hoping to have not gained too much weight and I was actually down 2 pounds.  Current weight 208.  Given this is way off pace from where I was at before but I’ll take it as a win.  I’m still moving in the right direction.
