Hey folks I’m here to tell you about my Top 3 picks for comedy shows this weekend.
Number ONE
Ben Kronberg at Iron Furnace in Quincy. Friday, Nov. 20, 8pm. $12.
Perhaps you remember Ben as the guy that Roseanne told “Go fuck yourself” on Last Comic Standing. If that’s all you know of him what a shame because he is absolutely hilarious and one of the most original comics working today. He had a half hour special on Comedy Central. You can check out some of the clips from his special HERE.
Also on the show, Nick Lavallee, Shawn Carter and Jesse Miles.
Tickets are available on-line. Or at the door.
Number TWO
Pavement Coffehouse Comedy Night. Friday, Nov. 20. 6:30 $4.
Host Pamela Ross has built a great comedy show right across the street from Boston University. The room is always full and the comics are always funny. Tonights line up includes: Laura Burns, Jere Pilapil, Kenice Mobley, Kwasi Mensah, John Dennis, Andrew Mayer, Scotland Green.
Gary Petersen will be headlining the show. Gary has performed at the Great American Comedy Festival in Nebraska and has opened for Louis CK at the Somerville Theater.
This show is sure to be a hit and for the low price of 4 bucks it can’t be beat.
Number THREE
Liquid Courage Comedy Club. Sunday, Nov. 22, 9pm. Free.
Have a laugh and enjoy a beer at Slumbrew in Somerville. This free comedy show hosted by CJ Browne regularly features some of the best comedians in the country and this week is no different. Zach Sherwin of Epic Rap Battles will be stopping by to so a set. I wouldn’t miss this show for all the football games in the world. Get there early as seating is limited.
Enjoy the weekend! I’ll be back with more shows to tell you about next week.
