Working Comic. Social Media Expert. – by Shawn Carter.

The internet is over.  I know it’s over because my dad is now on Facebook.  He’s doing cool things like commenting on a photo when he meant to send me a private message, calling me to ask me if he knows certain people that have friend requested him or if it’s a fake account created by the NSA to monitor his very secretive life style.  Who knows what he’s really up to?  Maybe he sells bootlegged copies of “Howard the Duck”.  The feds need to shut it down before it gets any bigger!

He’s clean I tell ya!  Nothing illegal going on here!

Once he’s figure out Facebook, I figure we’ll get him on Twitter, then instagram and then vine.

He’ll run my social media campaign starting June 1st.

But for now… Let me tell you about last week.

Monday:  I hosted the comedy show at Sally O’Briens.  We had a pretty full room.  I mean a room full of pretty people.  Still I felt like I was taking one on the chin every time I stepped on stage.  Well, it’s on again tonight at 7:30 so let’s hope it’s a little easier this time.

Tuesday:  I hosted the stand up show at Stadium in Quincy at 8pm and the debate show at 10pm.  The room was ugly full.  I mean a room so full it was ugly,  of course the crowd was pretty but I have to bring in more seats for the next show because we just have so many people.  Here’s a little sample of the debate portion of the show.  The theme of our debate was ‘movies’.  We touched on such films as “Inner Space”, “Forrest Gump”,  “The Wrestler vs Chocolat”, and something about dirty movies.

Wednesday:  I did a spot on a really fun show right near my apartment.  The show was at a bar called Maggy’s Lounge, in Quincy.  It’s a really fun mix of stand up and improv.  What else ya gonna do Wednesdays!

No Shows the rest of the week.  I went to a sweet wedding on Saturday.  Pi Day.

Now we’re back to another manic monday.  Thanks for reading I hope you get through your workday without stabbing anyone with a pen.  See ya around.
