Working Comic: One Month

One month in and guess what, we made rent.  I say we because I’m including everyone reading this as though we’re on a journey together.  We got turned down by TV and our car broke down.  BUT WE MADE RENT!

Thanks to everyone that read this, or booked me or subscribed to my YouTube channel.  I know it’s still early but I’m very excited.  Isn’t it exciting to not have to bust your ass everyday at physically demanding jobs.  I’ve worked so many crappy jobs over the years, from landscaping to security, retail to automotive.  Barely has a day gone by that I haven’t had dirt under my nails or paint or some other substance on my skin.  I’ve dealt with chemicals and pesticides and worried for my health, and today my hands are clean and I hope to keep them that way.

Soooo…  here’s how my week went.

Monday-  Sally O’Briens of course.  I be hosting the crap out of that show.  Oh and we went up against Monday night football and the Patriots but we still had 45 comics on the show.

Tuesday-  Stadium in Quincy.  Such a fun show.  We keep it short and sweet and afterwards we have a comedy debate.  This week Bill McMorrow won our debate.

Wednesday-  Tried out some new material at Tavern at the End of the World.  Thanks to Phoebe Angle for putting me onstage.

Thursday- Was contacted last minute to close a show.  I wanted to do it.  However I had already made plans with the girlfriend and I’m trying to have a healthy relationship and not abandon all plans for comedy all of the time.  There will be other opportunities to do shows.  I turn down the show and have a delicious dinner.  Thanks to Phoebe Angle for making me a delicious diner.

Friday-  Show at Stone Church in New Hampshire.  Dan Boulger was headlining.  Thanks to Josh Day for inviting me to perform on this show it was a really great time and Josh did an awesome job hosting.

Saturday-  Strangely I don’t have a show. This sucks.  A Saturday and I don’t have a show somewhere?  What am I supposed to do?     Please somebody call me and offer me a last minute gig!

Nothing…..  instead I ended up hanging out with friends,  which is fun and all but on a Saturday I always feel like I should be doing a show.

Future:

Coming up this week I have an audition for a movie.  Tune in next week to read all about how that goes.

Also I will be hosting at Kowloon in Saugus Friday and Saturday.  Oct. 10 & 11.
