The Best Part of October.

Feeling the cool brisk air on your face and filling your lungs.  Watching the leaves change from a uniform green to a wild array of beautiful colors as they are deprived of the chlorophyll needed to sustain their continued existence.  And then eventually feeling those leaves crunch beneath your feet as you walk down the street and towards your destination.  Some people would say that New England is the best place to live during October.

However, I tend to disagree because candy corn is available in every state.

Candy corn is the best part of October.  Not only is it the greatest Halloween candy but it’s all the food that you need to survive the month.  One large bag of candy corn and you just saved yourself hundreds of dollars in groceries.

Not sure if you want to get pepperoni or buffalo chicken on your pizza?  Compromise, put candy corn on your pizza!

Having a tough time getting someones attention from 30+ feet away?  Throw a couple of kernels of candy corn at them, but then go over there and eat that candy corn afterwards because as the bible says “thou shalt not waste candy vegetables in October”

Here’s a list of things that are not as sweet as candy corn.

  • A hole in one while golfing
  • Your first kiss (unless the other person was munching on some candy corn right before it happened)
  • Bacon
  • Those little pumpkins that sometimes come in the bag with candy corn, what the hell is that shit?
  • Steak
  • Cotton Candy
  • La Croix soda water (it’s trash)

The list goes on and on, thank you for understanding just how magnificent candy corn truly is.

Finally before I go I’d like to share with you a list of things more delicious than candy corn.  Hard to believe I know!

  • Everything on the menu at the Brahmin in Boston where we just happen to be having our debut comedy show next Thursday October 12 at 7:30pm.
  • So come in for dinner around 5 or 6 and then head downstairs for the comedy at 7:30.  I’ll be hosting and I’ve invited some of the very best comedians in Boston to help me kick this show off.
  • You can get tickets here to make sure you have a seat or just try your luck the night of the show.
